Battersea is only three miles from the centre of London and is an area of contrasts. There are some very expensive properties in parts of the borough, especially along the margins of the river Thames, in other parts there are large post war housing estates. The Mission is situated near several of these estates where most of our members live and where there is considerable social need to be found.

Every Sunday we meet together for worship. Our members come from West Africa, the Caribbean and Britain. This racial and cultural mix greatly enriches our communal life.

During the week there are a number of groups that meet for fellowship and study. Our building is also home to a range of projects designed to meet the spiritual, social and medical needs of the local community.

Much valuable work is done on a daily basis for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Battersea Mission is home to a busy and lively community on Sundays and weekdays. There is something for everyone at the Mission. Come and find us and see for yourself.
